Fraternity for Indian Artists in Musical Professions

The music from Arabia consists of varied genres and styles. These include the Arab classical style, as well as the latest Arabic pop songs; there is also the secular music, and sacred sounds. Arabic music has within it the combination of other regional music genres and styles. It has been influenced has been influenced by the music of:
- Ancient Greek
-Persia
- As
-Turkey
- India
- The African regions of Berber and Swahili
-The European sounds of Flamenco

The earliest Arabic musicians were primarily impacted by the Greek musical trends and theory. They translated the Greek texts and musical works, as well as gained mastery over the Greek theory of music, which includes:
- Systema ametabolon
- Enharmonium
- Chromatikon
- Diatonon

The typical Arabic music of Egypt and Syria is called takht. The various instruments use for the music ensemble of this region are: 'oud, qanún, rabab, ney, violin, riq and dumbek. In the traditional Arabic songs ensemble, chalghi, uses two instruments - the jowza and santur, along with the riq and dumbek.

In the last two decades the musicians in the Arabic world have been using the western instruments to create their music tracks. These include - the electric guitar, cello, double bass and oboe.
